Young Athletes
We have also launched the Young Athletes programme which has been sponsored by Special Olympics via the Mattel foundation. We have 14 children taking part and 6 coaches. The seven developmental skills were divided in to 4 parts, firstly the fofundational skills, then walking, running, balancing and jumping were combined, thirdly catching and throwing was played with great gusto and lastly the children all had a tun at Striking and Kicking. It was a beautiful day and afterwards the children were all tired and thirsty so they ad a coke, hot dog, packet of chips and a biscuit each. The children also looked smart in their bright green T-shirts.
